Type 253 (SNEB)
The Type 253 is 68 mm air-to-surface anti-armour folding fin aerial rocket (FFAR) that is part of the SNEB (Société Nouvelle des Établissements Edgar Brandt) family of rockets. The Type 253 is armed with the Type 23 high explosive anti-tank (HEAT) warhead and a Type 25 series rocket motor. The Type 253 is intended for use against armoured targets, but its fragmentation has a lethal effective radius against personnel of 30 m.
