The Type 56 HEAT is a 80 mm high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT) projectile. The Type 56 HEAT is a copy of the Russian PG-2 (ПГ-2) projectile, which is part of the PG-2V (ПГ-2В) round. The Type 56 HEAT is launched from the Type 56 recoilless gun, the Chinese version of the Russian RPG-2 (РПГ-2).
