The 53-D-832DU (53-Д-832ДУ) is an 82 mm white-phosphorous (WP) filled smoke mortar bomb. A steel adapter, which holds a small high explosive burster charge, is screwed into its nose well. The 53-D-832DU and its 10-fin tail stabiliser unit are based on those of the 53-O-832DU high explosive fragmentation bomb. The 53-D-832DU is normally seen marked up with its short-form designation of D-832DU (Д-832ДУ), and not its full GAU/GRAU index code.
