The 3OF5 (3ОФ5) is a Russian steel cast iron mix-bodied high-explosive (HE) fragmentation mortar bomb. The 3OF5 is normally seen marked up (stencilled) as the OF5 (ОФ5), which is the short form version of its GAU/GRAU index code. The 'OF' in the designation is short for the Russian words Oskolocho-Fygasnaya (Осколочно-фугасная), literally fragmentation-high explosive. It is not clear what the 'B' in the designation is short for, or denotes....
