The M222 is a US-developed, wire-guided, anti-tank guided missile (ATGM), which uses a control link wire and semi-automatic command to line of sight (SACLOS) guidance. The M222 is part of the M47 Dragon Medium Antitank Assault Weapon System (MAAWS) anti-tank guided weapon (ATGW) system.
