The 9M38 (9М38) is a Soviet-era-developed, radar-guided, rocket-powered, medium range, surface-to-air missile (SAM). The 9M38 SAM was introduced with the 2K12 (2К12) Kub-M4 (Куб-М4) system, which is also referred to as the 9K37-1 (9К37-1) Buk-1 (Бук-1).
