The 5V55 (5В55), also known as the V-500 (В-500), is the base designation of a Soviet era developed, Russian Federation, surface-to-air missile (SAM) family. The 5V55, which is its Russian Air Defence Forces PVO (ПВО) index code, was developed for use with the S-300P (С-300П) family of SAM systems.
