The PMD-57 (ПМД-57) is a simple, Russian, square-profile box-like, anti-personnel blast (APB) mine, which was developed from the PMD-6 (ПМД-6). The PMD-57 is larger than the PMD-6 and the later PMD-7 (ПМД-7) series, which are rectangular profile boxes that contain a smaller explosive charge.
