The MKT Mod 72 is a blast mine copied from the Russian TM-46, but appears very similar to the Chinese Type 59. A variant of this mine labelled 'MKT Mod 72 PX' was also produced. The mine has also been found in small numbers in Kosovo. The MKT Mod 72 mine uses a fuze and detonator assembly similar to the Russian MV-5, but unlike the Russian version, the detonator is percussion rather than stab-sensitive.
