The M25 is the US version of the Canadian C3A2 'Elsie'.Once armed, sufficient force on the top of the charge assembly pushes it down, compressing the striker pin. Two striker retaining balls then escape into a wider section of the mine, allowing the stainless-steel striker to be driven into the stab-senisitve detonator.
