The M/969 a licensed copy on the minimum-metal Belgian M409 AP blast mine. The fuzing system is based of the Belgian PRB-M35. When sufficient force is applied, the top of the mine is distorted causing two initiation wires to be depressed. The sharpened ends of these wires initiate the stab-sensitive igniters.
