The DM31 is a German, steel-cased, anti-personnel (AP) bounding fragmentation (APBF) mine, which can be initiated by direct pressure, or by pull on a tripwire. The DM31 was copied from the Swedish Truppmina 11, which was also copied by Denmark as M/66.
