ATIS
The ATIS is a prototype, electronically fuzed, anti-tank mine. Prototype only. Development is currently suspended. The mine is to use the 'Ferranti Intelligent Fuze'. Advanced signal processing allows the mine to detect an approaching vehicle's shape and speed so can detonate at an optimal time. ATIS includes an anti-handeling option and a short-range remote-contol system. The mine is claimed to be able to penetrate 150mm of heavy armour.
