AP Plastic Mine

Mine
Egypt

This undesignated mine is a pressure-operated, box-type anti-personnel blast mine. It is not known whether the mine was produced in Egypt, or imported from the Balkans. Egypt claims that all AP mine production ceased in 1988. The plastic casing appears to be identical to that of the Yugoslav PMA-1A, which is hinged at one end and incorporates a raised platform at the other end of the base sections.
