Type 97 Hand Grenade
The Type 97 is a Japanese, World War Two era, defensive, high explosive fragmentation hand grenade. The Type 97 is identical to the Type 91, except that the base is solid and does not have the propellant charge assembly. Hand grenades of this type with aluminium bodies have also been found.
