No. 70 grenade
This is antipersonnel/fragmentation hand grenade. The No. 70 was intended to replace the No. 36M, by providing a hand grenade with an impact fuze. The Mk I grenade was an experimental version and never issued for frontline use. In addition to the filling, the Mk III differs from the Mk II in that the filling hole in the side was eliminated.
