M51 (Projectile Fuze Series)
The M51 are a series of US-developed, point detonating (PD) super-quick (SQ) and delay (PDSQ/D) fuzes, which are normally used with 75 mm to 105 mm high explosive (HE) artillery projectiles. The M51 series delay period is dependant on the model, with delays of 0.05 s (50 ms) or 0.15 s (150 ms) the most common. The M51 series are a combination of the M48 series fuzes and a screw-on M24 series booster assembly.
