The B-1 (B) is a delay tail-fuze, typically fitted to Japanese WWII era air-dropped bombs. The fuze is armed by the removal of an arming wire upon release from the plane and 11 rotations of an arming vane. On impact, a firing pin moves against a spring and pierces an igniter module.
