B-1 (A): FUZE
The B-1 (A) is an instantaneous tail-fuze, typically fitted to Japanese WWII-era air-dropped bombs. The fuze is armed by the removal of an arming wire upon release from the plane and sufficient rotation of the arming vanes. On impact, the firing pin pierces the primer, which sets of the explosive system. This fuze is likely to be found with the A-2 (A), A-2 (C), or possibly the A-2 (B).
