The AVU-E (АВУ-Э) is a universal bomb fuze that can be used in the nose or tail fuze well of high explosive, or fragmentation bombs. The 'E' (Э) in the AVU-E designation refers to its starting method, which is 'electropyrotechnic' (Электропиротехническое).
