The M41A2 (AN-M41A2) is a small, nominally 20 lb (≈9.07 kg), fin-stabilised, high explosive fragmentation (HE-frag) bomb (submunition). Though developed by the US Army it was also used by the US Navy (USN), and hence it acquired the alternate AN-M41A2 designation; the AN short for 'Army-Navy'.
