One police officer was instantly killed another died on 15 April and 14 police conscripts and 2 civilians were injured by a bomb planted on a motorcycle outside the police training center in Tanta. The injured were taken to a nearby university hospital. Liwaa al-Tharwa (The Revolution Brigade) claimed responsibility.
