The mayor of Tuburan, a soldier and a driver were injured in an explosion of an improvised explosive device in Sitio Sawiti in Barangay Calut in Tuburan town, Basilan on February 4. The driver is in a critical condition. Abu Sayyaf is suspected to be responsible for the incident. A second IED went of shortly after the first one.
