One local NGO staff member was killed in a complex attack on the Ambassador Hotel in Hodan District. A suicide bomber drove a vehicle laden with explosives into the hotel which was then stormed by Al-Shabaab fighters. Reportedly, more than 20 people were killed in the attack and more than fifty were injured, including the local NGO staff member. SVBIED
