A Syrian Arab Red Crescent volunteer was killed in the line of duty in Deir Ezzour on 23 October while the volunteer was giving First Aid support and was in the vicinity of mortar fire. Initial reports suggest it was a ‘wrong place wrong time’ incident. At the same time, another volunteer was wounded.
