On 23 October 2019, near Pang Ku (old) Village, in Kutkai Township, in northern Shan State, a man from Pan Ku refugee camp stepped on a landmine while he and his wife went to search for their bull in the farmland near Pang Ku(old) village. He was injured and in critical condition.
