IED event in Mogadishu area, Somalia on Sat 28th October 2017

Two UN contracted guards and one contracted driver were killed in the suicide car bombing attack on the Naasa-Hablood Hotel in Mogadishu. A UN agency staff member who as also in the car survived but was also seriously wounded. He managed to jump out of the vehicle before the explosion. The national staff member received care in the local hospital and then was MEDEVAC to Nairobi for specialized medical attention. At least twenty-three people died in the attack. SVBIED
