A trustee prisoner was discovered to have stolen 10 tritium bulbs from tritium exit signs and was using them as night lights. The prisoner was unaware of their radioactive nature and admitted that he had broken two of the bulbs and flushed them down his toilet. The activity level in his cell is and the report did not say whether they removed the prisoner from a potentially radioactive cell. The remaining bulbs were recovered and the prisoner was removed from trustee status.
