Grenade event in Kiev Oblast, Kyiv area, Ukraine on Thu 24th May 2018

On May 25, the Rescue Service 101 received a report that a suspicious object had been found in the Golosiyivskyi district of the capital, on the territory of the Lisaya Gora tract. Employees of the First Special Response and Humanitarian Demining Center arrived at the scene. DSND pyrotechnics, which arrived on call, identified the find as an F-1 Grenade dated back to WWII. Detected ammunition was removed and destroyed at a special landfill. It should be reminded that since the beginning of the year, 372 units of various-caliber explosive items from the Second World War have been seized and destroyed in Kyiv.
