On November 4, Captain Atiqur Rahman Mia, Additional Deputy Inspector General and Special Response Battalion-12 (SRB-12) Commander, stated that SRB-12 recovered 103 local and foreign firearms in separate operations in Sirajganj and Pabna Districts, acting on information provided by 65 surrendered extremists, reports The Daily Star. They also seized 1,136 rounds of live ammunition, 15 magazines, 95 indigenous weapons and eight walkie-talkies. Based on disclosures by 65 formally surrendered extremists to the battalion on November 1, 2026, Security Forces (SFs) conducted a series of operations and recovered the hidden weapons and ammunition from Tarash, Ullapara and Salanga Upazilas (Sub-Districts) in Sirajganj District, and from Sathia and Ataikula in Pabna District.
