IED event in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gandi Chowk, Lakki Marwat District area, Pakistan on Tue 3rd November 2026

Police foiled a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terror plot at Gandi Chowk in Lakki Marwat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on November 3 after killing two terrorists, including a suicide bomber, during an exchange of fire, while a third terrorist escaped despite being injured, reports The Khyber Chronicles. According to Police, personnel rushed to the location after receiving information about a suspicious vehicle. As officers approached the vehicle, the suspects opened fire, prompting an immediate retaliatory response in which two of the terrorists were eliminated. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of weapons, a flag bearing the insignia of TTP, women’s burqas and other suspicious items. The recovery of the clothing, along with the other materials, has raised questions about the nature of the suspected terrorist plan and the intended use of the vehicle.
