Intense fighting continues in Mawlu town; military drone attacks on civilian vehicles burn two cargo trucks to ashes and cause civilian casualties, while the military is also conducting continuous aerial bombing attacks

Yangon, November 6

Local residents told Yangon Khit Thit News that fighting remains intense in Mawlu town, Indaw Township, Sagaing Region, and that the terrorist military has attacked civilian vehicles with drones, resulting in two cargo trucks being burned to ashes and causing casualties. The military is also carrying out continuous aerial bombing attacks.

Beginning on the morning of November 6, the terrorist military used drones to attack vehicles stranded in front of Hei Nu Monastery in Mawlu town along the Shwebo-Myitkyina Road. During the attack, two cargo trucks were burned and destroyed.

In addition, civilians who were near the stranded trucks were also injured during the drone attack. Due to the terrorist military carrying out drone attacks for two consecutive days, the stranded civilian vehicles withdrew from Mawlu town.

At present, no civilian vehicles remain in Mawlu town. All have turned back and travelled via the Indaw bypass route, taking the Ohn Thit Kone village road, then the Nan Kham-Gyo Taung village road, and then the Dopin-Taung Pon village road to head south toward Shwebo.

Heavy fighting continued through this afternoon in and around Mawlu town between the terrorist military and revolutionary forces. Drone strikes and artillery rounds have continued to land and explode within the town. In addition, the terrorist military has been continuously bombing areas around the town using aircraft.

A local resident said:

"The fighting situation in Mawlu is extremely intense. There are no longer any stranded vehicles left in the town. They have all turned back. Starting this afternoon, the military dogs have been repeatedly bombing areas around the town with aircraft."
