The terrorist military carried out six airstrikes near Thaphanseik Dam in Kyunhla Township

Two jet fighters under the terrorist military based in Homalin Township, Sagaing Region, carried out six airstrikes today (November 5) near Thaphanseik Dam in Kyunhla Township, causing damage to civilian houses, two local sources told Red Peacock News Media.

Today (November 5), at around 4:00 p.m., a jet fighter from Homalin town carried out bombing attacks in the area surrounding Thaphanseik Dam.

Similarly, at around 5:00 p.m., for the second time, a jet fighter from Homalin town attacked the area around Thaphanseik Dam.

A local source said, “There is no fighting on this side. They are simply firing at the rafts operating on the reservoir. This time they have come and attacked residential houses as well.”

According to local sources, following the airstrikes, four civilian houses were damaged.

The gold-mining raft sites near Thaphanseik Dam are frequently subjected to unprovoked airstrikes by the terrorist military, resulting in civilian casualties.

According to information released by the Human Rights Ministry of the National Unity Government, from February 1, 2021, through October 31, 2026, there were 6,653 airstrike incidents across Myanmar, with a total of 15,327 air attacks carried out by the terrorist military.

Similarly, the Human Rights Ministry stated that 6,467 people were killed as a result of those airstrikes, including 853 children under the age of 18.
