Separately, a Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander, identified as Abdul Wahab, was killed in an operation conducted by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Dir District on October 18, reports Samaa TV. According to the CTD spokesperson, the “commander” entered Swat District from Afghanistan. The CTD conducted an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) after it received a tipoff about his whereabouts. “Wahab was involved in the planning and plotting of multiple terrorist attacks on police and Rangers personnel,” the CTD spokesperson revealed, adding that the Government had set a prize money of PKR five million on his head. A cache of weapons, explosives, and ammunition were recovered from his possession.
