Two Frontier Corps (FC) personnel and two Police constables were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Teer Banda area near Pak-Afghan border in Mamund Tehsil (revenue unit) of Bajaur District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the night of October 20, reports Dawn. Bajaur District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Samad Khan said the joint team of Security Forces (SFs) and Police were conducting a search operation in the area following an earlier explosion that had targeted a vehicle of a contractor, wounding two persons. The dead FC personnel were identified as Lance Naik Mudassir (28), a resident of Kohat District (KP) and Sepoy Jamshed (26), a resident of Karachi (Sindh). The dead Police constables were identified as Sepoy Abdul Samad and Sepoy Noor Rehman.
