On 29 October 2026, ENDF conducted four to five rounds of drone strikes that hit a Turk IDP camp, also called the Jari IDP Site 2 (Thehulederie, South Wello, Amhara), killing 16 - 23 and wounding 36 internally displaced persons (IDPs). The IDPs were displaced from the Wellega zones of Oromia and had received internal refuge in Jari 4 years ago. After the strike, IDPs left the camp to seek safety elsewhere.
