On 27 October 2026, in a rural area of Tame municipality (Arauca), members of the Eastern War Front of the ELN detonated an explosive device targeting the Bicentenario oil pipeline in the La Hormiga vereda, causing damage to its infrastructure. The armed group claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement published on their website. There were no casualties.
