1st November 2026
The police have been called to Rosengård in Malmö due to a loud bang. There is reportedly damage to a gate and an apartment window, but no reports of injuries.
– Several people have called in and said they heard a loud bang. Someone put something on the ground next to a gate that exploded, says police spokesman Patric Fors.
No one was injured in the explosion, but according to the police, several panes of glass in the gate and a window to an apartment on the ground floor had been shattered.
Now they are working on searching the area closest to the house.
– We have cordoned off the area around the house and have also cordoned off the inside, so the people who live in the house should stay inside. We cannot give any forecast for how long we will keep the cordons in place, says Patric Fors.
The National Bomb Squad is on site and investigating the stairwell. Witnesses in the area are also being interviewed.
As of 9 p.m., the roadblocks are still in place.
The case is classified as public danger destruction and a crime against flammable and explosive goods.
