SAA event in Punjab, Attari, Amritsar District area, India on Wed 28th October 2026

The Border Security Force (BSF) recovered a Turkey-made Zigana pistol, two magazines, around 500 grams of heroin and a damaged drone after a Pakistani drone carrying the consignment crashed in a parking area near the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at the Attari international border in Amritsar District on October 28, reports The Tribune. The incident raised security concerns as tourists were still leaving the border area after the daily flag-lowering ceremony. Though BSF officials declined to comment on record, citing the force’s revised media policy, an officer confirmed the crash and said the drone had fallen outside the ICP gate, reportedly due to BSF-installed anti-drone jamming systems. The officer declined to provide further details.
