On October 26, a joint team of Churachandpur District Police, the 129th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the 5 Assam Rifles recovered firearms, ammunition and brown sugar, and arrested one Kuki National Front-Military Council (KNF-MC) cadre identified as Letkhothang Khongsai (23), during an intelligence-based operation at Kingkin village near M. Songgel in Churachandpur District, Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. The team intercepted a suspicious vehicle and recovered one foreign-made AK-series rifle, one foreign-made MA1 rifle, 240 rounds of assorted ammunition and approximately 1.027 kilograms of brown sugar in two transparent plastic packets.
