On 11 October 2021, in Pale township (Yinmarbin district, Sagaing region), the Pale PDF attacked a convoy of military forces with landmines. At least 30 military soldiers including a tactical commander were killed and four members of the Pale PDF were also killed, according to the Pale PDF.
