On 18 October 2026, SAF drone strikes targeted mobilized RSF recruits in an area near a school in Muglad (Abyei, West Kordofan) and Debab (coded separately) while they were being loaded onto large tractors in preparation for transport. Initial reports claimed 140-200 RSF were suspected to have been killed and more than 200 civilians were suspected to have been injured in Debab and Muglad. Later reports claimed more than 100 villagers were killed and 120 were injured. SAF claimed 84 recruits were killed in West Kordofan. 84 fatalities split across the 2 locations and coded as 42 for this event.
