On 21 October 2026, in Myauk Chun village (Mingin township, Kale district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted a gyrocopter strike using two gyrocopters from the North Western Regional Military Command in Monywa and dropped three bombs on the village in Area No. 5 without an armed clash occurring. The gyrocopter strike injured eight people including six men and two women including three people with critical conditions. The gyrocopter strike also damaged three houses.
