On 20 October 2026, in Kun Chan village (Budalin township, Monywa district, Sagaing region), the Myanmar military conducted a gyrocopter strike using a gyrocopter from the North Western Regional Military Command based in Monywa town at around 2:30 pm. The airstrike killed 6 women including four girls aged 13, 15, and two aged 17, and two adults aged 22 and 41 and injured one woman. Among them, 4 of them died on the spot, while two others succumbed to their injuries during emergency medical treatment. The gyrocopter strike also damaged two residential houses. 6 fatalities.
