Around 20 October 2026 (from 19 - 21 March), JNIM conducted multiple drone strikes, including against civilian targets, in the village of Baouri, near Midio-Bouri (Bandiagara, Mopti). The militant group used two drones to attack the village, and it was suspected that they were operating them from the Degui forest with the aim of driving local residents out. 1 woman was killed and her two children wounded in a drone strike on their home.
