On 20 October 2026, the Malian army conducted a drone strike north-west of Talhandak (Boghassa, Abeibara, Kidal). 7 Chadian and Sudanese gold miners were killed, and another two were wounded. On the same day, five Shahed Harpy-A1 kamikaze drones (likely operated by Africa Corps, as the actor has been known to operate all the Shahed drones in the Sahel) targeted depots in the same village. The Malian army stated that it conducted airstrikes the same day on the same area, but it claimed to have targeted a gathering of militants holding several motorcycles. It also claimed that the position was 'successfully struck', but provided no information on casualties.
