Around 20 October 2026 (as reported), in El Carmen (Norte de Santander), unidentified perpetrators, likely members of the ELN (one local says that the group was upset, since the day before a drunk man had dragged a suspicious cylinder they had planted with their initial painted on it all around town, which was mocked online), assaulted the local police station using a drone swarm attack for about 30 minutes. Although there was some damage to the facilities, there were no casualties.
