On 20 October 2026, an unidentified foreign armed group conducted a drone strike on Bamina (Kobe-Nord-Est, Iriba, Wadi Fira). Some sources stated that the strike targeted the local market, killed 4 people and injured another 14 who were transferred to a hospital in Tine to receive treatment, while others stated that the strike targeted a gathering of Sudanese refugees and killed 5 people, including 3 Sudanese refugees and 2 local volunteers. 4 fatality coded, per the lowest available estimate. Sudan's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) denied responsibility.
