On 12 October 2026, warplanes (claimed by IRG forces but likely Saudi forces) launched 4 airstrikes on Al Madaribah Wa Al Arah district, coded to Ash Shatt (Al Madaribah Wa Al Arah, Lahij). The Saudi strikes were part of 1879 IRG 'targeting operations' using , drones, field artillery, multiple rocket launchers and sniper units against Houthi forces, which destroyed and disabled 380 military vehicles and means. The IRG claimed their operations also caused 950 Houthi fatalities and injuries on that day, but this was not corroborated by independent or Houthi sources. Fatalities coded as 0 following the most conservative estimate.
