On 8 October 2021, the Ethiopian National Defense Force (ENDF) continued to attack the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) through multiple airstrikes in areas near the towns of Wirgesa (Habru, North Wello, Amhara), and of Wegeltena (coded separately) and on the road linking Afar region to Amhara region (coded separately). Casualties unknown. The airstrikes started on 7 October 2021.
